This is one of those places that has the light boxes with a picture
of what the dish is suppose to look like. Sometimes this is a
good thing and sometimes bad. Because if the dish doesn't look
anything like the picture you are already disappointed. So going
by the picture we should be up for a treat.
Now on ordering, I find that the laksa is $9.50... hmmm a bit
expensive, but as long as it is full flavour and has everything
I'm looking for, we shouldn't have problem. I don't mind paying
for quality..
So the Laksa arrives, presented in a large
porcelain bowl (already a step in the right direction. It just
feels better than eating out of a polystyrene one)
On first appearance I notice once again that there is not enough
green for me.. All I ask for is a bit of bok choy or something
of similar. It just adds a little colour!!! Other than that it
appears to have all the essential ingredients Prawns, Chicken
Tofu and noodles.
The chicken I found to be a bit dry - out of place in a very wet
dish. The prawns although large and plentiful I found them to
be a bit watery (obviously frozen) and lacking in flavour. The
curry sauce started out alright but I soon found myself wishing
that it had a little bit extra in it and I don't think it was
just a lack of chill, it just didn't really grab my attention
and hold it. So unfortunately I'm not going to give this a rave
review and especially for the price..

Verdict - If
you like a mild laksa this is probably a good one for you but
if it's a bit of kick you're looking for try another destination.
